Although almost identical in shape to the USGI PASGT helmet, this ballistic helmet from Protective Products International has raised the bar for head protection dramatically, by providing NIJ level IIIA protection in a light-weight (15% less), low-profile helmet. Very high fragmentation protection (V50 well over 2150ft/sec) and 50% less blunt trauma then conventional products. This helmet offers excellent bullet resistance combined with minimal back face deformation.
Besides the excellent four-point harness system with neck pad and chin cup, this helmet features the new 7-pad foam suspension system. This enormously versatile system is not only many times more comfortable then the standard webbing suspension system, but also allows for much better adjustment to head shape and size, assuring the best fitting combat helmet you have ever worn! Weight is approximately 1.2 kg (2.75 lbs).
